When you think about personalisation, people usually associate it with garments, but it doesn’t have to be restricted to them. We recently did a project with a tablescape designer extrordinare Fiona Leahy for the Aerin èclat de vert perfume launch dinner in De Crillon in Paris.

We were personalising customers items from the sleepwear range which included robes, pyjamas, tshirts and shorts amonst their range.
We were there for three days, with three machines so it is fair to say that we reached quite a few people and their personalised pieces.
If you missed us, don’t worry, we are popping up all over the place in the run up to Christmas, personalising all sorts so keep your eye peeled for where you can catch us next!
During last weekend, Hawthorne & Heaney set up camp in London’s Selfridges store for a monogramming event for Australian Hat brand ‘Lack of Color’.
‘Lack Of Color is the popular Australian label that produces a range of men’s and women’s hats available in seasonal colours and styles. Created by Tess Corvaia and Robert Tilbury, a creative couple from Queensland, Australia who aim to bring their loyal customers a range of innovative and wearable pieces each season.’ (Lack of colour About page)
Thanks to the lovely hot weather we have being having here, we were offering these hand embroidered monograms onto the hat ribbons or bands, usually of their strawhats as shown.
With a choice of 16 colour for the embroidery, the combinations on offer are numerous.
It’s always great fun working with such different and interesting brands in some of the best known shops in the world!
If you missed out on the opportunity to have your hat personalised in store and would like to get it done, this is something that we can do for you in the studio, get in contact with us by phone or email and we can advise you futher.
Or if you would like to put on your own hand embroidery event with us… get in touch!
We look forward to hearing from you.
Earlier this month, we had the opportunity to work with the lovely people at Monki Jeans on their customisation event. Hawthorne and Heaney were in store stitching for the launch day where customers could have their denim hand embroidered with an initial or a little symbol.
As per our usual event, the customers had a choice of fonts and colours for their personalisation.
Quite a few people decided on the classic white on denim look for their embellishments.
Whilst others vamped up bolder, already embroidered designs with their personal monogram.
If you are looking to have something similar done to a garment of your own, or hold an event of a similar nature then get in touch with us.
