After what you can see was a very busy and sucessful hand event, we can’t wait for our next one. If you would like to be our next event, get in touch!
Wedding Napkins; you may think you have seen all there is to see when it comes to wedding napkins. But let us take a moment of your time to show you some of the more unusual napkins we have done.
An Extra Touch:
If you have a theme that you wish to incorporate into your designs, we can create semi bespoke orders using one of the stock font choices with your bespoke artwork addition like the crown in this one.
Sometimes the crisp, shiny quality of the machine embroidery threads don’t quite make the perfect fit with what you are trying to achieve with your theme. Take this couple who wanted a more natural feel to their embroidery to match the natural feel of the linen so we used a cotton thread instead which is matte and lends itself well to the hand finished feel.
Using the matte cotton threads again for this set which has a gorgeous lace boarder, they picked out an off white for the stitching to keep it neutral, but still clear against the white of the napkin. The wrapping, intimate nature of the letters was very important to this design so special attention has been paid to the ‘unders and overs’ of the letters.
The latin alphabet may not properly reflect the culture of your union, so don’t think that you have to be restricted to your ‘ABCs’ for your embroidery.
Whatever you have in mind, get in touch and we can see what we can create for your special day.
Last weekend, we had another monogramming event with lingerie brand Victoria Secret. It was held at their brand new store on bond street.
To celebrate their opening, customers were able to have their Victoria Secret robe personalised with their initials. They were able to choose from two fonts, and a range of colours. We were glad to be able to celebrate with them.
Below, are some pictures of the event:
If you were lucky enough to get your hands on one of these robes, we would love to see a photo! Tag us on Instagram @hawthorneheaney
Following on from the sucess of the NFL event we did in October last year, we went back to the O2 area in January for an NBA event. Once again we were monogramming caps for the invited few in the skypod box overlooking the arena.
This time we were at the NBA game at the O2 arena embroidering initials on to New Era caps for the pregame Marriott reward VIP’s. The VIP’s could choose from either a Boston Celtics or a Philadelphia 76ers cap and have it personalised while they waited!

Hawthorne & Heaney have been back to our favourite, Liberty of London to celebrate Fathers Day. As usual we were offering our classic monogram onto silk pyjamas.
Along with us, there was a number other demonstrations happening in which customers could purchase engraved gifts for their fathers!
Engraving on to mens wallets.
Engraved ‘DAD’ onto an umbrella tie.
We thought this was a fantastic event run by Liberty and it was such a pleasure to be part it!
For the past 3 years, London Craft Week has become a highlight of the creative calender with all sorts of exciting workshops, demonstrations and talks taking place across town. These celebrate the most unique and interesting craft skills London has to offer. Ranging from whisky tasting to watchmaking to weaving there is something to interest everyone. This year, we have been invited to take part in London Craft Week and are excited to be hosting two workshops in the studio to showcase our own skills. In these workshops we will be teaching one of our stable skills, monogramming which we regulally use on shirts, suits and accessories from our tailoring clients.
You can join us to learn the delicate art of monogramming and leave with your own monogrammed handkerchief or cufflinks at the end. Follow the link to secure your place as spaces are strictly limited, tickets are £60 plus VAT and can only be bought directly from the London Craft Week Website.
Earlier this month, we had the opportunity to work with the lovely people at Monki Jeans on their customisation event. Hawthorne and Heaney were in store stitching for the launch day where customers could have their denim hand embroidered with an initial or a little symbol.
As per our usual event, the customers had a choice of fonts and colours for their personalisation.
Quite a few people decided on the classic white on denim look for their embellishments.
Whilst others vamped up bolder, already embroidered designs with their personal monogram.
If you are looking to have something similar done to a garment of your own, or hold an event of a similar nature then get in touch with us.
It may only be August, but Hawthorne & Heaney have already done our first monogramming event for Christmas 2016. The Debenhams PR team, in conjunction with Reverb held their Christmas in July event in a beautiful house in Fitzrovia where we were providing our machine monogramming services.
The launched their Christmas ranges which included fashion, homewear, lingerie and more. Our embroiderer Pearl and her assistant Chelsea were adding initials to pyjamas and hankerchieves for the attendies while they explored the rest of the event.
Debenhams guest designers such as Patrick Grant and Julian McDonald were there to talk to the attendies about their collections. The team chose two of our classic fonts in a range of 5 colours for people to personalise their pieces with.
All in all it was a very busy day, with plenty of glitz and glamour that has set the bar for the rest for the events to come later in the year.
